Art Project Pick Up

Campers are always so excited to take home their completed artwork! However, some projects (like ceramics that need firing) may need a little extra time before they can go home. Instructors will provide specific pickup details, and projects can typically be picked up about three weeks after the class ends. We recommend bringing your child along to help identify their artwork. Please note, any unclaimed items will be recycled after August 10.

Refund Policy

Campers who withdraw at least 5 days before the class start date will receive a full refund. Unfortunately, no refunds can be issued for withdrawals made 4 days or less before the class begins. If needed, campers may transfer to another class up to 5 days before the start date. In case of illness (with a physician’s note), transfers may be made until the first day of class, based on availability. Please note, no refunds will be given after the class has started, even in the case of illness.

If the Art Center must cancel a session due to insufficient enrollment, we will provide a full refund. We will notify parents at least 3 business days before the class start date if a session is canceled. The Art Center reserves the right to cancel any class that does not meet the minimum enrollment of five campers.

Art Class Parent Pickup Policy

The primary concern of our kids art classes is to ensure the safety and well-being of all students in our care. In order to maintain a safe and secure environment, it is essential that parents or guardians promptly pick up their children at the conclusion of each class. This policy is designed to address the procedure for handling situations when a parent or guardian fails to pick up their child on time.

The art class instructors and staff will maintain supervision of students until the designated pickup time. In the event that a parent or guardian is running late, they should notify ACB as soon as possible by calling 319-754-8069. This allows the staff to be informed of the situation and reassure the child. Our staff will attempt to contact you through your provided phone number. If contact cannot be established with the parent or guardian within a reasonable timeframe, emergency contacts listed during registration will be attempted for notification. If no contact can be made with either the parent or emergency contacts within a reasonable period, local authorities (such as the police) may be notified for assistance.

ACB values the well-being of every child, and we understand that unexpected situations can arise. We ask for the cooperation and understanding of all parents and guardians in adhering to this policy to ensure the safety and welfare of our students. By enrolling a child in our classes, parents or guardians acknowledge their understanding and agreement with this Parent Pickup Policy. It is essential to provide a safe and nurturing environment for all children under our care, and adherence to this policy is vital in achieving that goal.
